Georgia Music Production Damon Fonooni

Damon Fonooni's passion for production and engineering was piqued at the age of fifteen. Now nearly 30 years old his experience and reputation shows a polished technical evolution with an attention to detail. As a composer, producer and audio engineer, Damon Fonooni's extensive discography of more than 60 original releases and remixes continues to receive exciting reviews from music media heavyweights BPM, DJ Mag, IDJ, Mixmag, Remix, Urb, 365Mag, as well as being awarded the coveted Best Electronic Act from Atlanta's premier arts and entertainment periodical,The Creative Loafing. His work is featured regularly on BBC Radio One, KissFM Worldwide, Australia's Triple J, etc. and licensed to over fifteen Electronic/EDM compilations including the Renaissance, Global Underground and Bedrock libraries, and the highly respected Balance series from EQ. He turned heads at the Toronto Film Festival with Motorola featuring his music in a short film. In his role as sound designer Fonooni creates sound logos and scores for film and television, and is the architect behind an innovative audio sample and loop series for Resonant Vibes, titled Re:Produce, which, under his direction, was quickly picked up and distributed by one of today's largest audio sample companies, Loopmasters.
For over a decade Damon Fonooni's tour schedule (under his artist guise, Habersham) has included performances in major clubs across North America with stops at renowned festivals such as San Francisco's Love Parade, the Detroit Electronic Music Festival [DEMF], Miami's Winter Music Conference, and South By South West [SXSW] in Austin, Texas. Globally, Damon performs at clubs and festivals in countries from Australia to Canada, Mexico to Central and South America, Holland to Hungary, Turkey to Romania, and more.

Atlanta Music School Faculty Keith O'Neill

After graduating from the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media in 2009, Keith put his Pro Tools operator level certification obtained through the program to good use by working with local artists such as The Atomic Godhead and Spirits and the Melchizedek Children. While also finding time to work as a recording engineer and mix engineer for the feature length film Mumbhai Connection. While tutoring AIMM students part-time, Keith also found a love for teaching. He is now a faculty member as an AIMM Recording Program Instructor teaching Level 2 Studio Tech Workshop as well as directing tutoring programs for curriculum classes. Keith also assist in maintaining the day to day operation of the recording program as a technical liaison between the students, staff and instructors.

Digital Media and Sound Design Staff Jay Wynne

Jay Wynne holds two Bachelor degrees in Digital Media and Sound Design/Computer Arts with a minor in music, and he has worked on productions for Cartoon Network, Aflac, Comcast, and Nickelodeon, among others. Jay has also worked in high-end studios in the Atlanta area involving music recording, sound design, engineering, 3D graphics, and animation. Additionally, Jay is a drummer and has toured with professional bands since 1999.

Combining and having a understanding of both the visual and sonic spectrum allow him to have a better understanding of the work overall, and in doing so allows him to create a more integrated piece of work that has an awareness of both. The presentation and execution of the work is also more harmonious in most cases. Jay believes that it is very hard for a piece of work to truly reach its full potential without the careful application of both disciplines.

Georgia Music College Instructor Jason Brown

Growing up in the New York City Gospel music scene in the early 90's, and having played with numerous gospel acts in the city, has given him a wealth of knowledge and a unique view of music.

In 2008, Jason moved to Atlanta Ga, seeking a change of pace in life and also to keep music fresh in his mind and sprit. He continued playing in the Atlanta scene for about 2 years, Becoming the Musical director for a number of ministries in the Atlanta Metro area and lending his talents to the open mic scene in Atlanta. Wanting a challenge Jason Enrolled in the Modern recording, Engineering, and Production Program at the Atlanta Institute of Music, where he quickly recognized that he'd found what he was looking for.

While attending AIMM, Jason interned at 11th Street Studios in downtown Atlanta for 9 months and quickly adapted to the fast-paced, demanding style that today's music production and recording demands. Working with artists such as Future, Rocko, Kerri Hilson, Shannell, Lloyd, Drumma Boy and many others, Jason had the opportunity to learn from industry-leading engineers, talented artists, and world class producers. Soon after, Jason started his own company, Litehouse Muzik, which is dedicated to top notch Audio Recording and Mixing services.

Upon graduating with Honors from Atlanta Institute of Music, Jason was offered a position as an instructor, where he brings real world studio experience to the students who enter the doors at AIMM.

Jason continues to work in the industry - most notably with Super Producer Polow Da Don, and Chris Brown's "Fortune", which grabbed a Grammy Nomination.

Atlanta Mix Engineer Leslie Brathwaite

Leslie is an Oscar-nominated, multiple Grammy-winning mix engineer for Pharell Williams ("Happy" among many others), Beyonce, Monica, Brandy, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Rick Ross, Ciara, Kandi, and literally hundreds more!
