Atlanta Institute of Music & Media (AIMM) has entered into an agreement for a proposed change in ownership to Velocity Arts, LLC. The anticipated closing date is November 30, 2026, subject to approval by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE), the Council on Occupational Education (COE), the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC), and other applicable regulatory agencies.

No action is required from current students or applicants as a result of the proposed ownership transition. AIMM will continue normal operations throughout the regulatory review process.

Do I need to do anything?

No. Current students and applicants are not required to complete any additional paperwork or take any action because of the proposed ownership transition.

Will my classes or instructors change?

No changes are anticipated. Courses, academic schedules, instructors, and degree requirements will continue as planned.

Will my tuition or financial aid change?

No tuition changes are being made as part of the proposed transition. AIMM intends to continue participating in the federal Title IV student financial aid programs following the transition, subject to DOE approval.

Will my credits still count?

Yes. Credits earned at AIMM remain part of your academic record and continue to apply toward completion of your program.

Will AIMM remain accredited?

AIMM intends to maintain its accreditation and will continue operating under the oversight of COE and other applicable regulatory agencies throughout the approval process.

Is the school’s leadership changing?

Founder Nite Driscoll intends to remain actively involved in supporting AIMM and helping ensure a smooth transition for students, faculty, staff, and the broader AIMM community.
