AIMM Is an Approved Veterans’ Training Facility
The Atlanta Institute of Music and Media (AIMM) is approved by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Georgia State Approving Agency to provide education and training to eligible veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and qualified dependents.
VA education benefits may be used for approved AIMM programs offered both online and on campus.

About AIMM’s Veterans’ Training Approval
The Atlanta Institute of Music and Media (AIMM) is an approved veterans’ training facility offering career-focused education in music performance, music production, audio engineering, and audio for media. Eligible veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and qualified dependents may use VA education benefits, including the Post-9/11 GI Bill® and other approved VA education programs, to pursue eligible AIMM programs.
Approved programs are available on campus and online, providing students with flexible options to earn a certificate or degree while developing industry-relevant skills.
AIMM’s curriculum combines hands-on technical training with creative and professional development, preparing graduates for careers in recording, production, audio post-production, live sound, performance, and other media-related industries.
Students interested in using VA education benefits are encouraged to contact AIMM’s VA Certifying Official before enrolling to discuss eligibility requirements, available benefits, and the certification process.

Programs Approved for VA Education Benefits
Eligible students may use VA education benefits for the following AIMM programs:
Associate of Applied Science in Music Production and Audio for Media
- Available online or on-campus
- Learn professional recording, mixing, mastering, sound design, and audio post-production for music, film, television, and interactive media
Associate of Applied Science in Music and Technology
- Available on-campus
- Choose a concentration in Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard, or Voice
- Combine performance and recording technology training for today’s music industry
Certificate in Music Production
- Available online or on-campus
- Build hands-on skills in recording, editing, mixing, mastering, and modern music production using industry-standard tools and workflows
Online Certificate in Music and Technology
- Available online
- Develop performance, music theory, and production skills while studying your instrument concentration from anywhere
Performance Certificate
- Available on-campus
- Focus on technical mastery, performance development, and live/studio experience
(All programs are accredited by the Council on Occupational Education and authorized by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission.)

- Apply for VA Education Benefits
If you have not already done so, apply for your VA education benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at www.va.gov/education. Eligible students may use approved benefits for qualifying AIMM programs offered on campus and online.
- Contact AIMM’s VA Certifying Official
Diane Searcy, AIMM’s VA Certifying Official, will help you understand your eligibility, review required documentation, and certify your enrollment so your benefits can be processed correctly.
We encourage students to contact Diane as early as possible in the admissions process to ensure a smooth transition into their program and timely processing of their benefits.
AIMM VA Online Tuition Scholarship
AIMM proudly supports veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, National Guard members, military spouses, and dependents pursuing careers in music, recording, live sound, entertainment business, and media.
Eligible military-affiliated students enrolled in AIMM online programs may qualify for an institutional scholarship equal to up to 30% of eligible tuition charges.

Scholarship Eligibility
To be considered, students must:
- Be admitted to an eligible AIMM online program
- Submit required military or VA documentation
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Remain enrolled in eligible online coursework
- Meet applicable VA education benefit requirements
