Whether you are interested in music production, guitar, singing, drums, audio for media, bass, or keyboard The Atlanta Institute for Music and Media is where you want to be. No other music college seamlessly blends music and technology in a singular program quite like AIMM. We strive to excel in contemporary music and media arts education with its primary focus being a positive, fulfilling, and rewarding student experience.
AIMM continues to set the industry standard by providing the technical and applied learning skills needed to equip students with the knowledge and tools necessary to prepare them for successful careers.

AIMM does not have on-campus dorms, however, once a student is accepted into their academic program, they have the option of being placed on our “Housing & Roommate List.”
Our Career Services department can then reach out to the student to help find nearby, affordable housing. If the student requires a roommate, Career Services will help find a roommate of similar age and program of interest.
Absolutely. AIMM offers several fully online options for students who want flexibility without losing the hands-on, industry-focused training we’re known for. You can complete our Music Production Certificate, Music & Technology Certificate (with a focus in Guitar, Bass, or Keyboard), and even our Music Production & Audio for Media Associate Degree entirely online from anywhere.
Most of our other programs follow a Hybrid format, meaning some classes can be taken online while others are held on campus to give you the in-person studio experience that makes AIMM unique.
Online availability may be updated as programs continue to grow and evolve.
AIMM currently administers the following Title IV Federal Aid Programs:
- Federal Pell Grant
- Federal Direct Loans
- Federal Direct PLUS Loans.
- Once a student has been accepted for admission to AIMM, and has applied for Federal Financial Aid, their Financial Aid File will be processed.
All Federal Aid Applications and required supporting financial documents must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the student’s first day of class.
Yes, AIMM is an approved Veteran training facility, and therefore our students may be eligible to receive their Montgomery GI Bill ® (Chapter 30), Post-9/11 Bill (Chapter 33), Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter 31), or Survivors’ and Dependents’ Education Benefits (Chapter 35) to help fund their education.
Yes, AIMM’s studios and computer labs are outfitted with all the hardware and software required to complete students’ coursework.
AIMM also offers the purchase of an additional “Tech Kit”. The “Tech Kit” is not included in the cost of tuition, it is an optional expense if a student would like to outfit their home workspace with our suggested hardware and software.
The purchasing of the Tech Kit is handled through a third party website called Vintage King.
AIMM accepts transcripts submitted electronically. School officials can send transcripts as an attachment from an official school email address or have an official transcript sent via the transcript service that your school uses.
Simply contact your school and request that they send us your official transcript. Transcripts sent electronically from a student email address will not be accepted.
