“When I went to AIMM, I learned how to produce because I didn’t understand sound—I didn’t understand compression, EQ, or how to make music sound the way it should. AIMM taught me all that. And it wasn’t just the education—it was the people. I still stay in contact with a lot of the professors and classmates. It was a great, great experience—I’d definitely tell people they need to come to AIMM.”

Reflecting on his time at AIMM, Jay credits the school with giving him a foundational understanding of sound and music production: “When I went to AIMM, I learned how to produce because I didn’t understand compression, EQ, or why music sounds the way it does.” He continues to stay connected to the AIMM community and serves as a powerful example of what’s possible with talent, education, and hustle.
