Master Music Engineering

Graduates finish their degree in music production (Music Production and Audio for Media degree) with an in-depth understanding of:

  • Recording
  • Mixing
  • Mastering

Along with their musical education, students receive training in Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR), Location Sound, and Sound Design for Film and Gaming.

Music Production Student Success Timeline

The Music Production and Audio for Media Degree program consists of 92 credits of courses encompassing technical applications of music, dialogue, sound design, and location audio for film, television, gaming, and new media forms of expression.
 
The music production school's program includes extensive technical courses designed to provide the student with the necessary education to further his or her technical, recording, and engineering abilities.
 
The program can be completed in 18 months of full-time enrollment, 24 months of ¾ time enrollment, or 36 months of ½ time enrollment.

Students in good standing will have the option to take AVID Pro Tools Certification Exams upon course completion. 

Associate of Applied Science Degree students are required to complete 24 credits of General Education courses.
 
Transferability of General Education credits completed at other institutions must be equivalent to the General Education courses available at AIMM.
 
Students must complete an entrance interview as described in the Admissions procedures.
